Transformation

DSG was created in April 2008 following the merger of ABRO, the engineering activities previously undertaken by DSDA at Stafford, the retained DARA Business Units and, latterly, the provisioning and procurement activities previously carried out by Defence Equipment & Support staff at Sapphire House in Telford. The primary objective being to secure synergy benefits and a sustainable UK-based Land and Air support organisation.

The merger has already delivered significant benefits and improvements. Our future is now underpinned by DART (DSG Achieving Rapid Transformation), a transformation programme which sets out how DSG will transform its business over the next five years to deliver best value for Defence. Delivery of benefits emerging from transformation will be monitored against key metrics, all of which will be embedded in our Corporate Strategic Plan and the associated Business Unit and Support Function plans.
